Biggest Turn-Offs In A Book
I´m so used to writing about what I like in books, it´s really hard to find so many things I don´t like (TEN, I mean that is waaaaay too much). Fortunately, making a list always makes things easier so here we go.
Though I hope you already know, the Ten Top Tuesday meme is hosted at the wonderful blog The Broke and The Bookish.
1.WORLD WAR II. I love historical fiction, but I wish it would explore more time periods besides this one.
2.WHINY AND/OR INDECISIVE MAIN CHARACTERS*. Oh the poor little creatures,
everyone hates them and no one sees the special angel they truly are. Little
detail, the hottest guy ever is after them
but there’s no way someone like
that would ever like them. GET OVER YOURSELF. (phew had to get that off my chest)
3.”A COMBINATION OF… AND …”. So
what you’re telling me is that this book like two other books I’ve read, so it’s
unoriginal… And why exactly are you trying to convince me to read it?
4.REPETITIVE THOUGHTS. This might be a little
weird, but I’ve been noticing it a lot especially in contemporary books. I feel
like the main character is thinking the same exact thing over and over again.
5.CANCER/ANY OTHER TERMINAL ILLNESS. I
know I’m gonna cry so I try to spare myself (though we all know I cry at
basically any book ever). I’ve been through The Fault In Our Stars, I don’t
wanna read anything similar thank you very much.
*will probably read three books like this in the next week*
